Former US President Joe Biden has abandoned his attempt to
prevent the Justice Department from releasing recordings of his interviews with
the writer who collaborated on his memoirs, after an appeals court rejected his
request, according to a report by POLITICO.
The publication reports that the recordings are expected to
contain conversations related to the handling of classified documents. The case
stems from the investigation into the possession of confidential material found
at properties linked to Biden.
To date, the full content of the recordings has not been
officially released, so claims about what they will reveal remain unconfirmed.
