WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump announced he will actively support Republican candidates in the upcoming U.S. midterm elections, while again questioning the polls that, he claims, paint an unfavorable picture for his party.
We can recall that the polls at the time showed the same
trend, even hours before Election Day, predicting that Kamala Harris was far
ahead of Donald Trump. They always assumed she would be the next president and
consistently predicted Trump's defeat with their numbers. Surprise: the results
were completely contrary to those polls.
In a message posted this morning, Trump highlighted the
appearance of Kevin Roberts, president of the Heritage Foundation and Heritage
Action, on Fox News, where they discussed election polls and the potential
performance of Republicans in the elections.
The president assured that he will allocate resources and
carry out activities to support Republican candidates, particularly in states
where he previously performed well in elections.
On immigration and security, the president reiterated his
stance of maintaining greater border control and warned of a risk of increased
crime.
“Imagine I’m on the ballot,” Trump wrote, closing his
message with his usual call to keep America “great.”
