KYIV, UKRAINE – A drone attack on Monday in the Ukrainian capital struck the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, damaging the building and prompting a response from emergency services.
The attack occurred during a new wave of attacks attributed
by Ukrainian authorities to Russian forces targeting various locations across
the country.
Emergency services personnel were deployed to the area to
assess the damage and manage the situation.
The attack on the capital comes as hostilities between
Russia and Ukraine continue, and diplomatic efforts to reach an agreement to
de-escalate the conflict persist.
Ukrainian authorities are continuing to evaluate the damage
