PHILADELPHIA – A two-week operation targeting housing complexes managed by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) resulted in the arrest of 41 individuals identified by authorities as violent offenders.
The operation, dubbed “Operation Moving Day,” was led by the
U.S. Marshals Service’s Violent Crimes Fugitive Apprehension Task Force, which
deployed personnel to locate individuals wanted for various crimes.
According to authorities, the 41 individuals were arrested
during the operation at HUD housing complexes in Philadelphia.
Authorities did not provide details regarding the specific
charges each detainee faces. The operation is part of federal efforts to locate
individuals considered high-priority for their alleged involvement in violent
crimes.
