Overnight, the conflict in the Middle East escalated after
the United States launched a series of attacks against various targets in
Iranian territory, according to reports.
Among the targets was the Shalamcheh border crossing with
Iraq, where Iranian authorities reported a preliminary death toll of two and
eleven wounded. Attacks were also reported in the cities of Bushehr, Bandar
Abbas, and Jask, as well as a military base near Kermanshah in western Iran.
According to reports from Iran, a power plant near the
Bushehr nuclear facility was also affected during the bombings, although this
information has not been independently confirmed.
In response to these actions, Iran launched attacks against
Kuwait, marking a new episode in the growing military confrontation in the
region.
