Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) said Monday that the Democratic
Party mismanaged the key issue of border security during President Biden's
term, allowing millions of migrants into the country over the past four years,
giving Republicans a powerful campaign theme.
Alex Marquardt's departure marks a significant step back in
his CNN career, bringing to a close a chapter plagued by controversy.
"Personal news: I'm leaving CNN after eight fantastic
years. It's hard to say goodbye, but it has been an honor to work with the best
in the business. My sincerest thanks to my colleagues on the Homeland Security
team and the phenomenal colleagues I've worked with in the U.S. and
abroad," Marquardt said in a post on X.
