Ashley Biden invoked a phrase coined by President Donald
Trump during his first presidential campaign to attack the authors of a new
book that purports to describe the mental decline of her father, former
President Joe Biden.
In a lengthy Instagram post, Ashley criticized the portrayal
of her father in Original Sin, the new tell-all book co-written by CNN anchor
Jake Tapper and Axios reporter Alex Thompson.
While not naming names, Ashley claimed they relied on
anonymous sources and spread false accounts about her father's health and
presidential legacy.
"This family's ONLY cover-up is a PLAYA cover-up!"
she wrote. "The truth is, Dad gave his all for America and it continues to
this day... The noise is so disrespectful and disingenuous."
