Harvard Law School professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz told
Just the News on Monday that President Donald Trump has a legal avenue to
deport thousands of undocumented immigrants, but emphasized that it must be
done with due process.
"I think the Supreme Court is sending a clear message:
it can be done," Dershowitz said on the show. "Just do it right and
understand that due process doesn't have a single meaning."
Last week, the Supreme Court intervened in Trump's
immigration crackdown by temporarily halting the use of the Alien Enemies Act
to deport undocumented immigrants in Texas. The decision represented a
significant legal setback for the administration and has been widely criticized
by legal scholars on the left and in the center.
