Former Univision and Telemundo anchor Myrka Dellanos launched strong criticism against both television networks, asserting that journalism cannot be practiced freely on them without sharing a leftist ideological stance.
According to her statements, currently “it is impossible to
do journalism” on these networks without being “leftist, socialist, radical.”
She also stated that those who hold a different viewpoint risk being fired,
saying, “They’re going to fire you, like they did to me.”
Dellanos also compared this situation to practices
associated with communism, arguing that control of the media prevents citizens
from knowing all sides of events.
Her statements reignite the debate on freedom of expression,
ideological pluralism, and the responsibility of the media to offer balanced
information, without excluding opinions for political reasons.
Therefore, independent media committed to the truth, through
the internet, have a growing number of followers, these are people who seek
information about reality, not outdated ideologies that destroy entire
countries.
