The new digital platform brings together speeches, announcements, and videos from the Donald Trump administration and streams content continuously.
Washington, D.C., September 21, 2026 – The White House
launched “TRUMP TV: The Essentials Station” on Monday, a digital streaming service
offering content from President Donald Trump’s administration 24 hours a day,
seven days a week.
The new service is available through the White House’s
digital channels and includes presidential speeches, official announcements,
public events, highlight videos, and archival material related to Trump and his
administration. The White House itself states that the content will be updated
in real time.
The launch also coincided with the decision by the networks
that make up the television group that regularly covers the president—ABC, CBS,
Fox News, NBC, and CNN—to temporarily suspend their joint coverage of
presidential events, after CNN was prevented from fulfilling a scheduled role
within that network.
The White House unveiled “Trump TV” as a way to make the
administration’s major events directly available to the public, without relying
on traditional network coverage.
The stream includes both new material and recordings of past
events, so its 24-hour availability does not mean that new content is being
produced continuously.
The launch represents a new chapter in the relationship
between the Trump administration and the American media, marked by so-called
gaffes, while the conflict over journalists’ access to the White House is also
playing out in the courts.
