WASHINGTON – US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit the National Archives (NARA) on Friday, where they will view some of the most important foundational documents in American history.
During
the tour, both leaders will have access to the Declaration of Independence, the
US Constitution, and the Bill of Rights, documents that established fundamental
principles of the country's political and legal system.
The
visit is part of Xi Jinping's agenda during his meeting with Trump and
complements the diplomatic activities between Washington and Beijing, at a time
marked by negotiations on trade, technology, and other strategic issues.
The
tour of the National Archives will allow the two leaders to directly examine
documents that form part of the historical heritage of the United States,
within the framework of an official visit that seeks to maintain dialogue
between the two powers.
