WASHINGTON— Susie Wiles, chief of staff to President Donald Trump, announced Wednesday that she is cancer-free, six months after revealing her early-stage breast cancer diagnosis.
Wiles reported that she visited the Mayo Clinic this week
for a medical evaluation and that the pathology results were clear.
"After a medical appointment at the Mayo Clinic this
week, my pathology results came back clear. I am cancer-free," Wiles wrote
in a social media post.
The official thanked her family, friends, doctors, and those
who supported her during her treatment. She also expressed her gratitude to
President Trump for the support she said she received during this time.
Wiles made her diagnosis public in March, when she indicated
that the cancer had been detected early. At that time, she stated her intention
to continue performing her duties at the White House while undergoing treatment.
According to US media reports, Wiles continued working
throughout her treatment and quickly returned to her duties at the White House
after her recent medical visit.
In January 2025, Wiles became the first woman to serve as
White House chief of staff. Prior to assuming the position, she played a
central role in Trump's 2024 presidential campaign. Her announcement this
Wednesday marks a new stage in the medical process she began after being
diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year.
