Florida Rescues 163 Missing Children in Five-Day Operation

FLORIDA, USA — Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier announced the rescue of 163 children reported missing during an operation that lasted just five days.

Uthmeier called the result a major victory and highlighted the coordinated work of authorities in locating the children and placing them back in protective custody.

The operation is part of Florida authorities' efforts to combat the disappearance and exploitation of children, as well as to locate children and teenagers considered at risk.

The announcement represents one of the most significant child recovery operations reported recently in the state. Authorities indicated that investigations related to some of the cases are ongoing to determine the circumstances in which the children disappeared and to establish potential liability.

Uthmeier acknowledged the participation of the agents and agencies involved and reiterated the State of Florida's commitment to protecting children and prosecuting those who may pose a threat to their safety. Authorities indicated they will provide additional information as the investigations progress.
