US Vice President J.D. Vance stated that members of Israeli
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's cabinet should refrain from directing
criticism or political attacks against President Donald Trump, as any public
confrontation with the US president is counterproductive, especially
considering the support that, in his view, Trump has consistently provided to
the State of Israel.
During his remarks, the Vice President maintained that Trump
has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to Israeli interests and asserted
that no other national leader on the international stage has shown a comparable
level of support. In this regard, he noted that the US president has promoted
policies and decisions that reflect a firm stance in favor of Israel's security
and strategic objectives.
Vance insisted that the relationship between Washington and
Jerusalem must remain based on cooperation and mutual respect, avoiding
statements that could generate unnecessary tensions between the two
governments. He also emphasized that Trump remains, in his opinion, Israel's
foremost advocate among world leaders, which is why he deemed the criticism
from members of Netanyahu's cabinet inappropriate.
The vice president's remarks come amid intense debates about
the evolution of the US-Israeli alliance, a relationship that remains one of
the cornerstones of diplomatic and security strategy in the Middle East.
