In a message posted on social media, the founder of several technology companies expressed his growing frustration with the regulations, economic sanctions, and disputes that, according to him, have characterized the relationship between Brussels and some of the leading digital platforms.
The statement came after months of tension between European
bodies and technology companies over issues related to content moderation,
freedom of expression online, data protection, and compliance with EU
regulations. In this context, Musk published a short but explosive phrase that
quickly went viral and generated reactions across the continent: “It’s time to
abolish the EU.”
His words sparked intense controversy. While millions of
