A suspected leak of data linked to the exclusive Bohemian Grove club has once again put this private organization, known for bringing together influential figures from the political, business, and cultural spheres in California each year, in the spotlight.
According to information published by the New York Post, the
leaked list includes widely recognized names in the United States. Among them
are former television host Conan O'Brien, as well as billionaire businessman
and former mayor of New York City, Michael Bloomberg.
Also appearing on the list are former Google CEO Eric
Schmidt, and Paul Pelosi, husband of then-Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.
The list also reportedly includes singer Jimmy Buffett and businessman and
political donor Charles Koch.
Bohemian Grove is known for hosting private gatherings
attended by business leaders, politicians, academics, and entertainment
personalities. Over the years, its secretive nature has fueled public
speculation about the nature of its activities and the profile of its members.
To date, the authenticity of the leaked data and the extent
of the breach have not been officially confirmed. The club has also not issued
a formal statement regarding the published information.
The case reopens the debate about the privacy of private
organizations and the public interest when their members include figures with
political and economic influence.
