President Donald Trump held his sixth Cabinet meeting of the
year and addressed several important topics, most notably his administration's
response to the devastating floods in Texas.
After a few brief remarks, Trump took questions from
reporters in the room. Several of the initial questions focused on the
"Big, Beautiful Bill," the war between Russia and Ukraine, the recent
US attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities, and the deadly floods in Texas.
However, things heated up when a reporter asked Attorney General
Pam Bondi about the Justice Department's statement that there was no evidence
that the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein kept a "client
list" or that he had been murdered. The memo stated that investigators
found "no incriminating 'client list'" and "no credible
evidence... that Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals."
