The US attack on Iran's nuclear facilities may have been
more damaging than initially believed, according to a monitoring group that has
highlighted possible contamination at one of them.
President Donald Trump declared after the attacks on the
Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear facilities in Iran that the nuclear
facilities had been "completely and totally destroyed."
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), a UN
monitoring group, said it found more damage than initial satellite images
showed at Fordow, according to the New York Post. Authorities were able to
identify additional bunker-busting attacks on the road leading to the facility,
as well as at the nuclear complex's underground entrance.
A total of 14 bunker-busting bombs, weighing 13,600
kilograms each, were dropped on Fordow, which was buried deep underground. At
Natanz, IAEA Director Rafael Grossi stated that "two impact holes from the
US attacks were found above the underground rooms that had been used for
enrichment and storage." / thepostmillennial
