President Donald Trump held the swearing-in ceremony last
week for Jeanine Pirro, who was appointed acting U.S. Attorney for the District
of Columbia, and she has already announced another high-profile arrest.
“My voice must be heard loud and clear. No more tolerance
for hate. No more mercy for criminals,” Pirro said as she briefly addressed the
packed room from the podium last week.
Pirro’s office announced that a Washington state man who
live-streamed threats was convicted on several charges.
The 39-year-old Pasco, Washington, native was found guilty
yesterday by a federal judge of unlawful possession of two unlicensed firearms,
unlawful possession of ammunition, and dissemination of false information and
hoaxes. U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro and FBI Assistant Director-in-Charge
Steven J. Jensen of the Washington Criminal and Cyber Crimes Field Office
made the announcements.
