One person has already been charged with vandalism at a Tesla dealership and the arson attack at the Republican Party headquarters in New Mexico

The Justice Department has charged a man in connection with the vandalism at a Tesla dealership and the arson attack at the Republican Party headquarters in New Mexico, according to court records unsealed Monday.

Jamison R. Wagner, 40, faces federal charges related to last month's arson attack at the Republican Party headquarters and a February incident at a Tesla dealership in Bernalillo. Authorities say two Tesla Model Y vehicles were set on fire, with swastikas painted on their windshields and graffiti that included "Die Elon" and "Die Tesla Nazi."

Elon Musk, Tesla's chief executive who leads the Trump administration's controversial attempts to reduce federal agencies through the Department of Government Efficiency and the federal government workforce, has been the target of protests at Tesla showrooms.
