The goal is to solidify Trump's legacy into permanent legislation, guaranteeing security for present and future generations

In a statement that has resonated strongly in the political sphere, Anna Paulina Luna indicated that Republicans in the House of Representatives are working on an ambitious initiative: transforming dozens of executive orders issued by President Donald Trump into permanent federal laws.

According to the congresswoman, the plan envisions converting up to 81 of these provisions into formal legislation, meaning they could no longer be easily modified or eliminated by future administrations. This strategy seeks to politically shield a significant portion of the agenda implemented during the Trump administration, especially on key issues such as security, immigration, and economic policy—a stance that has been widely supported by citizens.

Luna emphasized that this effort represents, in her opinion, concrete and lasting progress for the country, highlighting that these are “real victories” that would prevent subsequent governments, which she described as radical, from reversing these policies. With this approach, Republicans seek to consolidate their political project, which has successfully implemented leftist policies imposed by leftist Democrats. This aims to limit the scope for potential ideological shifts in the executive branch that could harm the country.

This move reflects a broader strategy within the party to translate executive decisions into robust legislation, capable of enduring over time and redefining the course of American national policy, thus ensuring security for present and future generations.
