Musk seeks explanation for the strange wealth of members of Congress with only their salaries

The world's richest man wants answers about how members of Congress have become "freakishly rich" despite their relatively modest government salaries.

During a town hall meeting in Wisconsin on Sunday night, Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, Starlink, and SpaceX, said his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) team would investigate how certain lawmakers have accumulated generational wealth, the New York Post reported.

Musk was responding to an attendee's question about whether DOGE had found any evidence of money transfers from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to Representative Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), Senator Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.).
