News that hasn't gone down well with a public distrustful of
anything related to the previous administration has emerged today.
The law firm that employs Doug Emhoff, husband of former
Vice President Kamala Harris, is the latest to reach an agreement with the
Trump administration to align itself with the president's political goals,
according to a report.
President Donald Trump announced Tuesday that Willkie Farr
& Gallagher, where Emhoff became a partner in January, has pledged to
provide at least $100 million in pro bono legal services during his presidency
and beyond, the Los Angeles Times reported. According to Trump, the support
will focus on assisting veterans, families of veterans, law enforcement
personnel, and first responders.
Trump wrote on Truth Social, his social media platform, that
the firm has agreed to combat antisemitism and not participate in
"DEI" (Democratic, Equal, and Right to Equality) initiatives.
