New York, United States — President Donald Trump shared an interview with Tom Homan, the official in charge of border control policy for his administration, in which the results of Operation Bad Apple, a 30-day federal operation carried out in New York City, were highlighted.
According to Homan, the operation led to the location and
arrest of more than 2,100 undocumented immigrants with criminal records.
The operation, led by Immigration and Customs Enforcement
(ICE), is part of the Trump administration's strategy to intensify actions
against people who are in the United States illegally and who, according to
authorities, represent a security priority.
During the interview, Homan presented the results as part of
fulfilling campaign promises related to border security and immigration
enforcement.
