WASHINGTON, D.C. — One year after the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, Brilyn Hollyhand recalled his influence within the American conservative movement and emphasized, in an interview with RSBN, the importance of youth participation in the electoral process.
Hollyhand maintained that Kirk's political activity and
mobilization played a significant role in the electoral landscape that brought
Donald Trump back to the White House.
"I really don't think Trump would be in the White House
if it weren't for Charlie. I don't think we would have won if he hadn't ended
the monopoly that the Democratic National Committee had."
The statements were made in the context of the anniversary
of Kirk's assassination, which occurred on September 10, 2015. In various
public appearances over the past year, conservative leaders and supporters have
highlighted Kirk's work among young people and his organization, Turning Point
USA.
President Donald Trump himself has publicly acknowledged his
political relationship with Kirk. In a speech delivered in September 2026,
Trump remembered the activist as a friend and a leading figure in the
conservative movement.
Kirk's career was particularly linked to the political
mobilization of young people and the promotion of voter participation.
Hollyhand, who has also been involved in activities aimed at that demographic,
has previously stated that continuing this work is a way to keep Kirk's legacy
alive.
