Iranian authorities claimed to have responded to the
nighttime bombings carried out by the United States with an offensive targeting
US military installations in Kuwait and Bahrain.
According to the Tehran government, the operation included
the launch of ballistic missiles and attack drones against a total of eight
strategic targets, as part of a reprisal for the US military actions.
In this context, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps
warned that any further aggression by Washington will provoke a more intense
response. The Iranian military also issued a stern warning regarding the Strait
of Hormuz, one of the most important maritime corridors for global oil trade,
stating that it could take more forceful measures against vessels transiting
the area if the conflict continues to escalate.
These statements increase international concern about the
risk of further destabilization in the Middle East and the potential
repercussions for global energy security.
