US President Donald Trump stated that his country is fully
prepared in terms of military capability, asserting that it currently has
greater resources and strength than before the implementation of the ceasefire.
In his remarks, Trump maintained that the truce period was
used to reinforce the supply and logistics of the forces, which would have
allowed for an increase in the level of strategic readiness. At the same time,
he acknowledged that the opposing side likely also used that interval to
strengthen, at least to some extent, its own resources.
These types of statements highlight how temporary cessations
of hostilities historically function not only as pauses in the conflict but
also as opportunities to reorganize capabilities. In that sense, the comment
suggests that President Trump's commitment to achieving peace objectives in the
short term remains in effect.
