Chile and Mexico will seek markets other than the United States for their copper

Although it is a complicated decision for Latin American countries, the decision of two of them was announced, in order to "rebel" at President Trump's international economic policies.

According to Reuters, Chile and Mexico could seek markets in other countries to avoid the Trump administration's tariffs, one day after President Trump announced that he would soon announce a 50% tariff on the red metal. Mexico and Chile export most of their copper to China.

Chile is the largest supplier of copper to the US, a market that represents about 11% of its total copper exports and less than 7% of its refined copper exports.
