Buenavista, Michoacán – Armed and hooded individuals set up
a series of roadblocks on the Santa Ana-Pinzándaro and Apatzingán-Aguililla
highways, where they burned a vehicle.
According to initial reports, armed individuals robbed the
drivers of several vehicles and drove through them to block access at Crucero
de Catalinas, División del Norte, in Pinzándaro, Zimanca, in the community of
Catalinas, where residents also reported gunshots.
Also due to the hooded individuals, at least one vehicle was
burned near the community of Vicente Guerrero.
Meanwhile, in the municipality of Apatzingán, OXXO stores
closed their doors as a precaution to avoid vandalism, as occurred weeks ago.
The blockade could have been carried out by members of an
organized crime cell, possibly in response to ongoing operations in Tierra
Caliente.
