Controversial Ethiopian politician and World Health
Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus practically
begged the United States to rejoin the UN agency after President Trump made
good on his promise to cancel US participation on his first day in office,
thegatewaypundit reported.
President Donald Trump signed an executive order formally
withdrawing the United States from the WHO, citing its failure to hold China
accountable and its role in pushing radical globalist health agendas that
undermine US sovereignty.
Trump's executive order suspended all US funding to the WHO,
redirecting those resources to domestic health initiatives that prioritize US
interests and values.
The WHO has long pointed to its mismanagement of global
health crises, its close relationship with China, and its dangerous promotion
of mandatory vaccinations and digital health passports.
Recall that the Biden administration has publicly affirmed
its commitment to a “legally binding” agreement in 2023, which will give the
World Health Organization (WHO) control over U.S. pandemic policies, although
work remains to be done in certain areas.
