Musk said DOGE is on track to save $150 billion in fiscal year 2026

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, SpaceX, and Starlink, announced during a cabinet meeting on Thursday the projected savings the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) expects to generate for American taxpayers next year by reducing government waste.

In his speech in the West Wing Cabinet Room before the president's top staff, Musk stated that DOGE is on track to save $150 billion in fiscal year 2026.

"Thanks to your fantastic leadership, this incredible Cabinet, and the talented DOGE team, I am pleased to announce that we anticipate savings in fiscal year 2026 by reducing waste and fraud by $150 billion," Musk stated, as reported by DailyMail.com.

He went on to note that several government programs his DOGE team has uncovered are "absurd" and "insane."
