An internal Trump administration memo reveals a sweeping
plan to cut government staff, including reducing the Treasury Department's
workforce by one-third and the Department of Housing and Urban Development's by
half.
Drafted a week ago, the memo coincides with the upcoming
Force Reduction Plan, which is expected to significantly reduce government
payrolls.
Trump has ordered federal agency heads to design their own
reduction plans, with mass layoffs slated to begin next month, according to the
Washington Post.
Agencies undergoing drastic cuts include the Small Business
Administration (SBA), at 43%, and the Department of Housing and Urban
Development (HUD), at 50%, according to the memo, the Post says.
