FBI Director Kash Patel announced another significant arrest
since taking office.
Patel spoke to X Tuesday night to announce that the FBI's
San Juan and Miami divisions collaborated with the Department of Justice and
Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to intercept a counternarcotics operation.
"BREAKING: Tonight, I can report that the FBI
@FBISanJuan @FBIMiamiFL, with the assistance of our interagency partners @CBP,
@TheJusticeDept, and others, intercepted a significant counternarcotics
operation off the coast of Italy through CBP's Container Security Initiative.
We have seized over 2,000 kilos of cocaine from a transnational terrorist
organization we believe is responsible for drug trafficking through South
America and the U.S. southern border," Patel wrote.
