Former Vice President Kamala Harris's 2024 presidential
campaign seemed doomed from the start.
An excerpt from the new book, "FIGHT: Inside the
Wildest Battle for the White House," by Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes,
details several of Harris's team's absurd demands and how former President Joe
Biden's lack of transparency hurt her campaign.
The book excerpt notes that Harris's first interview was a
disaster.
As she watched the interview unfold in front of a national
audience eager to see if she could succeed former President Joe Biden, the
newly minted and unexpected Democratic Party nominee seemed unsure and, worse,
small.
Harris's advisers concluded that the problem was her chair,
not the fact that she avoided questions and instead allowed her running mate,
Tim Walz, to join her on screen and do most of the talking. Anyone wanting to
interview her would have to meet strict requirements regarding the height,
arms, and legs of each chair.
