The US president stated that he concluded a positive conversation with his Russian counterpart, amid ongoing talks between Washington and Moscow on economic cooperation and bilateral relations.
US President Donald Trump reported that he held a conversation he described as “very successful” with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Among the highlights of the announcement was a reported agreement for Russia to supply 300,000 tons of diesel fuel to the United States.
If finalized, the supply would represent a significant development in energy trade between the two countries, whose relations have been strained by economic sanctions and tensions stemming from the war in Ukraine.
A shipment of this volume could have implications for the fuel market, and this agreement could once again be a step forward for the Trump administration, which has been working for the benefit of US citizens since its first day in office.
