Rand Paul says he delivered requests to the Department of Justice to prosecute Anthony Fauci

Washington, D.C. – Republican Senator Rand Paul stated that letters requesting the prosecution of former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Anthony Fauci, were personally delivered to the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ).

According to the senator, the documents were submitted so that federal authorities could evaluate the possibility of initiating legal action against Fauci, whom Paul has repeatedly accused of inconsistencies in his testimony before Congress.

To date, the Department of Justice has not announced whether it will open an investigation or initiate any proceedings based on the senator's requests.

Anthony Fauci, who was one of the key figures in the U.S. government's public health response during the COVID-19 pandemic, has previously denied the accusations against him and maintained that his actions were in accordance with scientific evidence and his responsibilities as a public official.
