Journalist Raymundo Riva Palacio recently asserted that, according to information provided by a U.S. source he described as reliable, the number of individuals allegedly linked to Morena who have provided information to U.S. authorities is considerably higher than initially speculated.
According to the journalist, it is not just a dozen people,
but a larger group whose identities, in several cases, have not yet been
publicly revealed. Among the names he mentioned in his comments were Adán
Augusto López Hernández and Rutilio Escandón Cadenas, who were implicated in
this context. However, there is no official confirmation from U.S. or Mexican
authorities.
These statements have generated intense discussion in
political and media circles, occurring at a time when various reports have
circulated regarding alleged contacts between Mexican political figures and
U.S. agencies or authorities. The information released has provoked mixed
reactions among the ruling party's significantly diminished supporters and
critics, who hold opposing views on the veracity and scope of these
allegations.
While some believe the claims could indicate possible
collaboration with foreign authorities that should be investigated, others
maintain that these are journalistic reports lacking verifiable elements and
therefore should not be considered proven facts. So far, the individuals
mentioned in the allegations have not issued a specific public response to
these statements.
Meanwhile, the controversy continues to grow, and to date,
no official information has been released to confirm or deny the reported
claims.
