President Donald Trump once again used his social media
platform, Truth Social, to lash out at Democratic figures in Minnesota, this
time targeting Governor Tim Walz and Congresswoman Ilhan Omar.
In a series of posts published on Saturday, the president
leveled accusations of financial irregularities and alleged fraud schemes,
claiming that the figures uncovered by his administration far exceed what has
been made public so far.
Without offering specific details or concrete evidence,
Trump maintained that federal investigations had uncovered financial losses
“much larger” than those officially acknowledged. According to him, the scope
of the alleged embezzlement is “astonishing” and, in his view, demonstrates
serious flaws in state management under Democratic leadership.
The statements are part of a recurring strategy by the
former president to use his digital platforms to criticize the administration
of local governments led by the opposition, particularly in states with high
political visibility. Both Walz and Omar have been frequent targets of his
criticism in the past, especially on issues related to public spending, social
policies, and resource management.
So far, neither has directly responded to the accusations.
However, the exchange once again highlights the climate of political
confrontation and partisan tensions surrounding the discussion of transparency
and the management of public funds.
