Deepak Chopra, recognized as one of the leading figures in
the New Age movement and a promoter of alternative medicine, became embroiled
in controversy after the release of emails linked to Jeffrey Epstein.
According to reports, Chopra was approached at Los Angeles
International Airport with questions related to these messages. In response,
Chopra maintained that his relationship with Epstein had no connection to the
sexual abuse crimes that later came to light.
The emails, which were publicly circulated, contained
statements that generated strong criticism. In one of them, Chopra wrote: “God
is a construct. Beautiful girls are real,” a phrase that sparked controversial
interpretations about the tone and intent of the exchange. In another message,
referring to an event at the Vatican where she was scheduled to participate
alongside the Pope, she commented: “Only sinners are invited.”
Likewise, in a third exchange, Chopra allegedly suggested to
Epstein that he travel to Israel accompanied by “his girls” and that he use a
false name. These statements increased public scrutiny surrounding the nature
of their relationship.
Despite the controversy, Chopra has insisted that her
communications did not imply knowledge of or participation in illicit
activities. However, the revelation of these messages reignited the debate
about the networks of influence that surrounded Epstein and the public figures
who maintained contact with him.
