CNN could be legally liable for helping undocumented immigrants evade capture and deportation, according to Kristi Noem

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem stated during an interview Monday that she believes CNN could be legally liable for promoting an app that tracks Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, thereby alerting undocumented immigrants and helping them evade capture and deportation.

Noem's comments follow previous statements by U.S. Attorney Pam Bondi, who also stated this week, in response to the CNN report, that she will investigate whether the network violated any federal law by including the app in a report.

"Well, a 700% increase in the number of agents, and there are groups that—and I spoke with Pam Bondi about this last night—are warning people," Fox News host Sean Hannity said Monday as he began his segment with Noem.

"Aren't they aiding and abetting lawbreaking? Aren't they responsible for obstructing justice? And she seemed very receptive to investigating the criminality, or potential criminality, of the matter," he asked.
