Colombians and Hondurans did accept the US offer to self-deport and have the opportunity to legally return to the country

 


The first flights transported migrants who had voluntarily deported themselves from the United States. They landed in Colombia and Honduras.

The government-funded flights, which carried 68 undocumented immigrants, are part of the Department of Homeland Security's Self-Deportation Program.

The Trump administration offered participants $1,000 in travel assistance and the possibility of one day being allowed to apply for legal entry.
