Caribbean governments responded positively to the United States' interest in joining forces to combat crimes affecting the region

Caribbean governments have shown interest in cooperating with the United States to confront and combat crimes such as drug trafficking.

This was announced after the meeting held with Caribbean governments by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who wrote on social media:

"It was a pleasure meeting with seven Caribbean Prime Ministers to discuss ways we can strengthen our cooperation in combating drug and firearms trafficking, forced labor, and illegal immigration, all challenges that contribute to violence and instability in our communities and throughout our region."

The stance taken by the leaders of the Caribbean nations demonstrates their interest in overcoming long-standing problems that concern them and their citizens.
