North Korea counterattacks Japan's US missile ambitions
after Hegseth's visit.
The recent agreement between Japan and the United States for
the co-production of air-to-air missiles constitutes a clear act of military
aggression aimed at stoking regional tensions, according to the North Korean
state news agency KCNA.
“The United States has conspired and encouraged Japan's
actions toward a military giant since the last century,” a DPRK Defense
Ministry official said.
The US-Japan agreement, which drew sharp criticism from
North Korea, was reached during the recent visit of Defense Secretary Pete
Hegseth and aims to accelerate the co-production of the AIM-120 air-to-air
missile system.
