An explosive exchange between Republican Senator Ted Cruz
and Democratic Senator Amy Klobuchar occurred today at the Capitol!
Cruz: "They, the Democrats, found a judge who says,
'You know what? We, the Democratic Party, are the party of illegal immigrants.
We are the party of murderers, rapists, and gang members,' and the Democratic
Party exists to fight to keep murderers, rapists, and gang members in their
communities. There's a reason the Democratic Party has a 26% approval rating
nationally: because they prioritize radical policies over the rule of
law."
Klobuchar: "What he said was completely false in that
Democrats and Republicans condemn violence. We don't just condemn violence. We
actually did something about it... So I think that kind of language makes the
situation worse when it's not even true. But unfortunately, Senator Cruz left,
so he didn't hear my response to what was a lie."
