Judicial Watch Demands Purging California's Voter Registry and Removing Nearly 900,000 Registrations Needing Review

California – The conservative organization Judicial Watch has once again brought the purging of California's voter registry to the forefront of the debate, demanding legal action to remove nearly 900,000 additional registrations it believes require review.

The group highlighted the results of voter registry cleanup efforts in the state and asserted that in Los Angeles County alone, up to 1.59 million names were removed from the voter rolls, a result it attributes to its efforts to demand greater accuracy and transparency in voter lists.

Judicial Watch has pursued legal action in various U.S. jurisdictions to pressure election authorities to review their voter registries and comply with their obligations to maintain voter records.

The demand to remove nearly 900,000 additional registrations reopens the discussion about the balance between purging voter lists, institutional transparency, and protecting the right to vote of U.S. citizens.
