US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent condemned the situation
in Ukraine amid the war with Russia and described Moscow’s actions as one of
the worst things he has ever witnessed.
“What the Russians are doing to Ukraine is one of the worst
things I’ve ever seen,” Bessent stated.
The US official also emphasized the importance of keeping
talks open to find a way out of the conflict. “But if you don’t talk, you can’t
stop it,” he noted.
His statements reflect Washington’s position on the need to
maintain dialogue as a way to try to halt the war and move toward a solution to
the conflict.
