WASHINGTON—US President Donald Trump was reportedly transferred discreetly to another plane after publicly boarding Air Force One in Turkey, amid security concerns related to a possible Iranian-backed assassination plot, according to a report by The Washington Post.
According to
the newspaper, after Trump boarded Air Force One in front of the media, he was
taken out of the press's sight to a C-32A aircraft parked near the presidential
plane.
The C-32A
was later used to transport Trump to the United Kingdom, according to the
report.
The move was
reportedly prompted by security concerns stemming from a possible Iranian plot
against the US president. The transfer, carried out out of sight of the
journalists accompanying the president, was intended to reinforce security
measures during his travels.
The incident
highlights the level of caution adopted by presidential security teams in the
face of potential threats against Trump, particularly at a time of heightened
tension between the United States and Iran.
