establishing ties with various political and social actors in the country,
according to statements attributed to the State Department.
According to the official U.S. position, Havana has managed
to infiltrate various levels of the U.S. government structure, in addition to
recruiting and training activists aligned with its interests. Washington also
asserted that the Cuban government has provided support to leftist
organizations and movements involved in acts of political violence within U.S.
territory.
These statements are part of the discourse that the U.S.
administration has maintained regarding the intelligence and influence
