New Orleans Democrat Mayor LaToya Cantrell spent $30,000 in
taxpayer funds on first class flights to France and Switzerland
She is refusing to pay back the money because she says it’s
unsafe for black women to fly economy
Reviewing the city’s policy on flights it shows she broke
the law but she still refuses to pay the money back
“Employees are required to purchase the lowest airfare
airfare available and that employees who choose to upgrade from coach economy
or business class flights are solely responsible for the difference in cost.
This is literally against the city's policy. She said she
did this because it's unsafe for black women to fly economy.“
The Democrat Mayor who broke the law and stole $30,000 from
taxpayers says, “One thing is clear, I do my job and I will continue to do it
with distinction, with dignity and integrity every step of the way.”
