Ukraine tests a Russian UMPK-style glide kit for FAB-500 bombs

Ukraine is testing a Russian UMPK-style glide kit for FAB-500 bombs, launched from a Su-24M bomber.

Ukrainian developer Medoed claims the bomb can glide up to 60 km, with plans to reach 80 km in the future, depending on altitude and tactics.

Ukraine reportedly needs 100 guided bombs per day, but Western-supplied JDAM-ER bombs, anti-submarine missiles (AASM Hammers), and SDB bombs do not fully meet the demand.
